Humanitarian Services and Community Development

EFSL undertakes a number of humanitarian and developmental programmes. It constructed 41 housing units at Waterloo, for resettled displaced persons between 2000 and 2001. With support from World Relief Canada, EFSL supported the resettlement of 2,100 farming families with agricultural inputs and also built post-harvest structures ( grain stores and drying floors) in four chiefdoms in Sierra Leone.EFSL also supported the building of over 100 local churches and training of pastors.

Other community services include:
Food security for rural pastors, Muslim evangelism, WATSAN, HIV/ AIDS sensitization, gender, advocacy for the needs of the disadvantaged, scholarships and micro finance loans.
