Events
The EFSL organizes a number of events throughout the year.
Mid-Year Council Meeting
Annual Convention
The CEA Department coordinates the Annual Convention of the EFSL. The Annual Convention is the most significant event on the EFSL calendar.
The Annual Convention for 2018 will be held on 3rd - 7th September 2018 in Bo Town. Make your plans now to attend this great event!
It is significant to attend this years Convention for two reasons.
Firstly, it is a summit of heads of churches and like all summits it is the forum to deliberate on strategic issues.
Secondly, it provides fellowship and spiritual nourishment for the delegates. This is also the time when those who work at the Secretariat give account of stewardship and sharpen their focus for the ensuing year.
The speak for the conference is Rev. francis A. M. Mambu.
Retreats
Nation-wide Campaigns
The E & CM Dept. plans to hold four rural crusades this year. The first of these crusades was held for in Pujehun town, Southern Sierra Leone from the 29th-31st March 2006 in collaboration with the EFSL member churches in Pujehun and the Great Commission Movement.
The Speaker for the crusade was the EFSL President Rev.Dr. Shodankeh Johnson. The opening ceremony was attended by the EFSL General Secretary and Pujehun town authorities. A total of 653 people made decisions for Christ and their many testimonies of God’s divine healing. New converts received New Testament Bibles (given to us by IMC) and other discipleship literature and a recorded krio (a local language) cassette of the Gospel of Matthew, Acts and John.
Three more crusades would be held in Moyamba (South Sierra Leone), Kailahun (East Sierra Leone) and one northern town to be identified before the end of the year between November and December.
The E&CM staff are also involved in practical ministry with churches both in the Provinces and the Western Area. On several occasions the E&CM Coordinator and the Membership Coordination & Training Officer preach and facilitate workshops, seminars etc of member body churches when called upon.
